Thanks to Zhengyu's nomination and a lot of sustained hard work by Resonance in 2006/2007, Resonance received a Student Achievement Award (Arts and Culture) from OSA on 26 Oct 2007, at a beautifully-decorated Sheraton Towers Grand Ballroom. Here's some people from the A Cappella Championships groups receiving the award:

Last Tuesday our Reso First Years had their first official a cappella presentation--and did a pretty great job indeed =)

Swiped the lot of pictures of practices and the actual presentation from Reso's fantastic unofficial photographer (thanks loads Lyndley!) We'll let the pictures do the talking, yes?

This episode we're checking out the infamous Sheares Hall supper!!!

brace yourself as we endure the temptation of the succulent baked chicken with cheesy fries.. yes it's the entire chicken!! the very same chicken which wailun couldn't finish..


we're also bring you the daniel naan (hashbrown, egg omelette, chicken patty with cheese, mayo, tomato and cucumber all wrapped in a well done naan (this flour thingy)


and the cheesy fries,


the CCT (cold chrysanthemum tea),
the chicken wings which sorely tempted the vegetarian!!

Anyway...u boil the potatoes...cube them...then chop
the onions. Mix the onions with the mayo, then mix
mayo with the potatoes. Enough mayo should be used to
lightly coat the potatoes, not drown them...but it
should still be obvious that there is mayo
present...if not why bother adding it? Then you dump
the whole bowl in the fridge. Then fry the
bacon...without oil cos bacon has lots of fat of its
own...turn the bacon over every now and then so it
won't get burned...the bacon is done when it starts to
curl up and is a nice reddish-brown colour...NOT black
hor...cut the bacon up then mix in with the
potatoes...u might want to add a bit of pepper to just
perk up all the flavours a bit...yup

before edlina takes over the world, shrieking/shreking,

before sue ann tries to convince everyone she's corrinne may,

before sumi becomes indian,

before et goes back to MARS on a mars bar,

before handy becomes candy,

before charm loh, jas go bonkers,

before jiayan become the regular cook at her mom's stall,

before the exams and fyp craze sets in for the jeremy, cheryl, charm (le short one), derek,

before the christmas giggling comes,

before having BOTH EnD retreat into their private island in NIE/NTU,

before the junior batches fail to recognise voco and equivox on the streets and tries to hit on any of them singing "fire" and wonders why they are not impressed and could tell them which notes are wrong,

before vnh tries to send their younger siblings to try to take over reso (davina--> small chai, gail--> maurice, joel--> jonabella??, edmund--> edlina???????, chris-->christina??, wailun doesn't have to send anyone he is still in reso!!)

Resonance Auditions!

Hey everyone!

Resonance auditions are here again!

This year, auditions will be held everyday from the 20th to 24th August 2007, at the Yusof Ishak House CAC clubroom on level 4, 6-8pm!

Musical background isn't necessary, though it surely would be an advantage if you do know how to read the little 'towgays'. All you have to do to prepare for the auditions is to sing us a song of your choice, that u're most comfortable with, in any language and any genre!

With that, we hope to see you at the auditions!:D
