The crazy bunch of 3rd-Year Reso members who don't believe in taking themselves too seriously. So much so that they call themselves Out Of Point, or OOPs for short.

Who	Cheryl Ong (a.ka. Mum, Arogo, B.A.O. Peixian...)
Voice Part	Mezzo
Favourite phrases	"It's PINK!!! *wide-eyed look* and "Seriously!"
Description	To sum up Cheryl in one phrase, that would be "Perfectionistic Pink Fanatic". As a former Chairperson of the group, she counts nagging, arrowing (complete with evil grin), shrieking, panicking, being extremely punctual for practices, feeling responsible for everything, pep-talking, trading insults with Derek, forcing everyone to wear pink and basically breathing down everyone's necks as essential Resonance behavior. She tends to forget, however, that she is no longer in power. (So please remind her if she gets too overbearing) But known only to a select few, under that no nonsense exterior lies the heart of a marshmallow, which has caused her to, among other things, donate blood regularly and cry at practically every movie including Finding Nemo. She is also known for her quirky taste in earrings and nail polish, which changes as often as her moods.

Who	Charmaine Yik (a.k.a. Charm)

Favourite Phrases	"Huh?!!!" and "Slap his face lah!"
Description	The "good cop" to Cheryl's "bad cop", Charm increases the niceness level in the group just by being there. Her extremely sweet disposition and kind heart makes her the ideal person to deal with all the egos and tempers of her fellow OOPs. She rarely loses her cool, except when people stress her out. In these instances, she is known to utter "Slap his/her face lah!" This never fails to elicit shocked expressions from the rest of Reso, but fortunately this only happens about once a year. Other than that, Charm effuses sweetness and light, her bouncy walk and neverending quest to sing an even higher note just add to her charm (no pun intended, we're not all like Derek...) and endear her to the rest of the group.

Who	Timothy Tan
Voice Part	Tenor/Vocal Percussion
Favourite Phrase	"Why like that one?"
Description	As one half of Reso's Golden Couple (his other half is the beautiful Cheryl Tan from the Reso Alumni), he epitomises the word "cool". This coolness also extends to his role as a vocal percussionist. Most people would look stupid trying to spit and make decent sounds into a mike. But not Tim. As mentioned earlier, he looks cool, and keeps our songs exciting by well, making drum-like sounds into the mike. As Derek recently said, Tim just has the "sei". And to top it all off, he does excellent solos too...notable mentions are Unwell and My Girl too. As with all tenors, Tim can get a little overexcited sometimes. When this happens, every song just gets a little happier (read: faster).

Who	Jeremy Quek (a.k.a. half of Deremek, and the Smokescreen for the scandalous Wai Lun-Derek relationship)

Favourite Phrase	"I'm very stressed! I have a lot of tests!" *stressed look*
Description	Despite being a very busy Chem. Engin student, Jeremy still finds time and energy to be a ball of hyperactivity during practices and performances. It never fails to amaze the rest of us that Jeremy can get so "high". It must be a tenor thing. He in turn constantly attempts to spread his natural enthusiasm and exuberance to the rest of his group. He does this by talking super fast and by bouncing up and down in time to the music, and expecting the rest to follow his lead. Often this has mixed results, because not everyone possesses Jeremy's talent for moving and singing at the same time. A great deal of coordination is required. Jeremy and Derek have a longstanding relationship, which dates from last year's Union Camp and has caused much speculation among Reso members. Jeremy tends to deny any significance to this relationship, much to Derek's disappointment. Jeremy has finally realised his dream of performing David Tao's Pu Tong Peng You. Since then, he has been singing the phrase,"Dang ni shuo I...." at every opportunity. Charm is worred that he will be able to sing higher than her soon...

Who	Chong Wai Lun (Alan)
Voice Part	Baritone/ Vocal Percussion
Favourite Phrase	"Is anyone going to eat?" and "Who's going for supper?"
Description	The newest member of his batch of Resonators, Wai Lun was warmly welcomed to the fold when he showed a deep interest in all things edible. He is happiest when he is surrounded by food. And when singing with Resonance, of course. A trumpet major at Yong Siew Toh, Wai Lun was immediately asked to arrange/transcribe new pieces for Resonance. After all, talent should not be wasted, yes? His technically challenging first arrangement, The Way You Look Tonight, almost scared off his dear fellow OOPs. His second one, Autumn Leaves, has also been put into the "Never Again" pile. But Wai Lun is a genuinely nice guy. In fact, the only fault we find with him is that his wardrobe is sadly devoid of colour. He has a wide range of shirts ranging from black, to white, to black again. We have, however, managed to make him try pink. In doing so, we fear that we have created a monster. He now craves strawberry lip gloss :S And he recently admitted to a secret relationship with Derek. Stay tuned for more exciting updates.

Who	Derek Foo (a.k.a. So-Derek, !Derek and the other half of Deremek)
Voice Part	Bass (though he keeps insisting he can't reach the notes)
Favourite Phrase(s)	Too many to count. But classic ones include: "NUS Resonance is an a cappella group from...NUS!" and "Gosh! What a rush!"
Description	Derek , Derek...where do we even start? The unofficial Nice Guy of the group, Derek does everything the rest don't want to...like hold the keys to the clubroom and move heavy equipment. Being the nice, dependable person he is, this is a clear sign for the rest of the group to bully him. Well ,we really can't help it if he happens to have a perpetual "Duh" look on his face, punctuates every sentence with "Er...", pronounces and spells half the words he uses wrongly and is prone to astounding displays of weird choreo during performances can we? Derek is further blessed with the rare gift of Absolute Lameness. The stuff he comes up with have reduced many a Reso member to helpless laughter, which is converted to howling when Derek vehemently states,"Eh! I'm not funny what!" His current passion is hugging bunny pillows. Being the most regular bass of the group, Derek constantly complains that his part is boring/too low/too boring...he solves this problem by using his rare gift to come up with his own lyrics to a song, often with disastrous effects. But don't get us wrong here. We all love Derek. Really. He makes us feel so much more sane in comparison. And the ultimate proof of his popularity? He's been romantically-linked to so many Reso members, both male and female.

Who	Amanda Lim (a.k.a. unofficial Creative Director)
Voice Part	Alto/Female Tenor
Favourite Phrase	"Amanda is going to be late!"
Description	Amanda is very very important to Resonance. Without Amanda, we wouldn't have nice posters and flyers. (see our beautiful posters for Vocal Obsession 2!!!)Without Amanda, we wouldn't have nice concert tickets. Without Amanda, we wouldn't even have this website. So you see, Amanda is very very valuable to us. Other factors that add to Amanda's value include Amanda's status as a co-founder of the "Suan Derek Like Anything" Club, as well as Amanda's ability to sing like a man. After all, it's in the name. She's A Man, Duh. Amanda takes all the super low notes that the sops and mezzos can't reach. As well as the super high notes the tenors and basses can't reach. Given Amanda's wide range of talents, it is rather difficult to get hold of Amanda. Amanda can usually be found building stools, designing bags or selling accessories in various parts of NUS. And if you haven't already guessed, Amanda always refers to herself in the third person.
