Farewell dinner POSTED AT 11:53 AM in Reso-anything And what better way to have a farewell than to have a super hearty feast in the form of a lovely steamboat buffet? =D Pictures for all! ![]() Clockwise from top right: Su Hui and Wei Ling savouring the delights of good soup and fried buns, the half-cooked but nonetheless enticing steamboat dinner (first of many more rounds to come), Wai Lun shows his love for freshly cooked crabs and gleeful Jia Yan with what I think looks like a prawn =P ![]() More delicious shots. The ladies bond over tur kwa while Zhengyu disappears with random people to write cards, and Wai Lun concocts white lies about Zhengyu's er... condition to the concerned pair of girls to cover up for his long absence =P ![]() Charm looks pretty pleased with the feast-- while Wei Ling and Derek have their eyes on the enticing golden brown man tou. ![]() ![]() Hungry for crab meat, anyone? Prize presentation time! Jia Yan presents the furtively-written cards to Wei Ling and Su Hui =D ![]() ![]() Group pic ![]() Will miss ya loads, girls, so take good care, have fun, and come back soon and we can throw another reso-feast for you! =D |

Sing It As It Is On the Esplanade Waterfront POSTED AT 02:29 AM in Reso-gigs We'll like to extend our thank-yous to everyone who came -- we had quite a sizeable crowd, despite it being a Sunday night and the eve of a new working week. It felt good singing to such a supportive and attentive audience ![]() Sound checking in the evening: ![]() This performance was kinda unique for us, because we had two groups down to cover the two 45-minute sets-- our second years and our third years, respectively. ![]() The Reso-second-years (plus first-year sop Sumi) got the crowd to sit back and chill with their soothing repertoire of ballads -- Change in My Life, If, I'll Be and I Do (Cherish You) -- and warmed the crowd up with faster-paced favourites Fire and Heaven is a Place of Earth, injecting a different flavour to each piece as our soloists showcased their distinctly different styles. ![]() Reso-third-years started their set with a sunny Every Morning and Under the Boardwalk (complete with quirky choreography!), showcasing a variety of song genres in the songs that followed-- Uninvited, Sukiyaki, If I Ain't Got You and Bring Me To Life. (Lots of sudden mood changes between songs, as you can see-- Derek would probably tell you that that's because we are an "emotional" group with "issues", but that remains debatable) Ever supportive Reso-folks were there to watch us, too! ![]() ![]() We hope that you guys have enjoyed listening to us as much as we have enjoyed performing for you. Singing out there by the atmospheric waterfront against the scenic backdrop of sea and sky was a blast =) ![]() And yes, we welcome feedback and comments, so if you've been there that Sunday night and have heard us, do drop us a note to say hi! |
