woah how i love tabulas haha.. they set up everything for you so i just needed to tweak the codes a bit to get wad u see here! yay! need more albums although the max is 50 pictures.. so can keep updating, removing the old stuff easily.. and the best of it all is the tagboard! without needing to set up an external account.. heh i'm happy.

oh yes, anything, just feel free to post here.. if u wanna upload photos, first create an album then upload photos into the albums, choose black border.. so that everything is kinda standardised lah.. heh.. waiting for ppl to edit the photo captions and descriptions too! the html stuff i'll adjust lah, but otherwise the rest, it's all up to us resofolks!

btw, need to update the "content" pages with more up to date info abt the recent gigs and *grinz* awards.. so just post it up here, or email me so that i can change it.. i think this job should be passed down to the secretary in future years.. or whoever is good in coding.. heh i can teach, so no worries.

p.p.s just heck the google ads.. i know it's irritating, but we need to keep this site free so, there they are!

davina here, just leaving a note so this doesn't look like amada's personal blog. This site is better than the CAC-hosted one coz can edit, but do you want to publicise it as official homepage of Resonance? can be tidied up a bit. =) entries (like these) can be relegated to a non-front-page page? grammar checked?

kudos to amanda for doing a good job with the webpage design though! it's pretty!

Who are we

Resonance is an a cappella CCA under the NUS Cultural Activities Club. We are a bunch of a cappella aficionados who love to sing.

What's a cappella

You may wonder what is a cappella. It means that when we sing, we are not accompanied by musical instruments. So, goodbye to synthesizers, drum sets and guitars. Our only essential is the human voice box.

What we sing

We belt out diverse genres of tunes: pop, techno, jazz, choral … you name it, we do it! Our adventurous spirit has even led us to attempt singing Japanese, Malay and Cantonese songs. Currently our group has about 30 members but we only perform in groups of 5 to 7 people.

Where we sing

Although we are only five years old, we have had many opportunities to perform at various on-campus functions: in school bazaars, in concert halls, at matriculation fairs and at faculty events. We have also performed at shopping centres, libraries and hotels.

Where have we been

To date, our most satisfying achievements would include clinching the top awards in the local National A Cappella Championships (2005 and 2006) and Harmony Awards competition (2003), and our two solo concerts, “Vocal Obsession” (2004) and Vocal Obsession II (2006). However, we are not resting on our laurels. Always on the look out for challenges and performance opportunities, Resonance hopes to scale greater heights.
